Paragraph On Climate Change

Climate change has become an alarming term in modern days. Due to environmental pollution climate of the whole world is going through an alarming change. Poor and developing countries are now blaming industrially developed countries for destroying the harmony of climate. The increase in the burning of fossil fuels has been responsible for the rise in temperature. As the temperature of the world is rising and the Ozone layer is decaying, our world is becoming a gas chamber. Ice capes of Polar Regions are melting. Sea level, consequently is rising. Hence, coastal areas are going underwater. The alarming news for Bangladesh is that the southern part of the country will one day go under the sea. It has already been seen that our southern part is losing its fertility. Cultivable land is becoming salty and the earth is becoming barren. Many species have already been extinct and some are on the verge of extinction. Ecological balance is now facing catastrophe. Natural calamities are visiting us frequently. To tackle this adverse situation we have to plant more trees and find out alternative sources of fuel. In this regard, rich countries must come forward. Otherwise, our planet will face doomsday very soon.

Climate change is now widely recognized as the major environmental problem facing the globe. It has now become a major concern for people throughout the world. The use of fossil fuels to meet the world’s energy contributes to an increase in greenhouse gases mainly carbon dioxide and methane in the earth's atmosphere. Climatologists view that this increase is leading to climate change with advanced effects on the environment. The increase of carbon dioxide, human activities like burning fossil fuels, conversion of national prairie to farmland and deforestation, and some other factors are primarily responsible for climate change on Earth. The industrially developed countries are responsible for the accumulation of greenhouse gas emissions. But the effects of global warming are most severe in the poorest countries. The poorest people will be the worst hit by the devastation of climate change. Bangladesh being a developing country become one of the hardest hits of climate change. She is under constant threat of climate change. According to the observation of the IPCC, the average temperature of Bangladesh has increased from 2 to 1 degree Celsius every year. Due to the change of the climate, Bangladesh will have to face a number of problems such as an increase in natural disasters, the rise of sea level and coastal areas and lands undergoing water, desertification of dry areas, decrease in agricultural production, destruction of fisheries and forest, etc. Climate change has become a major concern of people throughout the world. The UN Secretary-General has stressed the need for international efforts to fight and mitigate the threats of climate change. World leaders should agree on a roadmap to take the issue of overcoming all the differences.
