Once there lived a woodcutter Ali Baba, who was very poor. He used to maintain his livelihood by cutting wood and selling them in the local market. Early one morning, when he was cutting wood in the forest, he heard the sound of horse’s hoofs. “Thieves”! He thought and got frightened. Very quickly he climbed up a high tree and hides among the branches. Forty thieves on fine horses passed under his tree. Ali Baba watched, trembling with fear. The thieves stopped. They took some heavy bags off their houses, their captain then led them to a rock nearby. “Open sesame!” he cried. A door in the rock opened and the thieves followed their captain into a cave.
