Dear Atik,

You wanted to know about our National Memorial and now I am writing to you about it. It is at Savar near Dhaka. It is 150 feet high and 130 feet wide. It has seven series of towers rising to a height of 150 feet. It was built on the first anniversary of the Victory Day. It was built on the area of 126 acres. The plan of this complex includes a mosque, a library, and a museum.

Our people would come to visit the museum of the valiant struggle and supreme sacrifices of a freedom-loving people. It is a symbol of the nation’s respect for the martyrs of the War of Liberation. We bow down our heads in respect, as the towers soar up symbolizing the loftiness of their spirit.
