Paragraph On Modesty
As a great virtue, modesty makes a man patient and polite. It is one of the best human qualities. A modest man is one who does not talk much or boasts of his own abilities, qualities or achievements, etc. He is loved and respected by all. A modest man talks to people with a smiling face. He always tries to please the person to whom he talks. There is a proverb, “Good manners cost nothing but bring many things.” In fact, good manners mean nothing but modesty. If a man is modest, he can succeed in every sphere of his life. If a student is modest, all the teachers like him. If a service holder is modest he is liked by his colleagues and bosses. If a businessman is modest, he is liked by his customers. Therefore we see that success in every sphere of life largely depends on modesty. Modesty reflects the unique beauty of the mind and thought. All great and noblemen of the world exhibit this quality. All great religions of the world regard modesty as a supreme human quality. So we should try to cultivate this virtue and inspire other people to follow us. If we are modest, our life and our society will be peaceful and happy.
