Freedom Fighter
Freedom fighters are those heroic sons of a country who fight for the freedom of their motherland when there is a war of independence. Freedom is the birthright of a man. But when this birthright is denied to a nation by another foreign nation or rulers, armed conflict arises between freedom seeker people and the occupied forces. Then the freedom-loving patriotic people fight for the noble cause of freeing their country from foreign domination. Sometimes the war of independence continues for years and the freedom fighters continue their war being determined to defeat the enemy forces. Almost in every case, the freedom fighters win the war and the country achieves independence. The freedom fighters of Bangladesh fought such a glorious war of independence against the Pakistani occupying forces in 1971 and after a long war of nine months snatched away the red sun of independence from the Pakistani rulers. In this war of independence, the Bengali members of the armed forces, the students, teacher professionals, and people from all walks of life took part. Our freedom-loving people were united and determined to defeat the well-trained Pakistani force. Their firm determination and heroic sacrifice made the enemy forces surrender after nine months. Thus the war of independence had come to an end and Bangladesh has emerged as an independent nation on the world map. Many of the freedom fighters sacrificed their lives for the cause of the motherland. So, we all the people of Bangladesh owe to those noble freedom fighters for our freedom. We should pay due respect to the freedom fighters. They are the real heroes of our country.
