Rice Or Paddy
Rice is the staple food of Bangladesh. It is a kind of corn. We get it from paddy.
Rice grows in hot and moist climates. It grows in wet soil and low land. It grows well in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, and Burma.
There are four kinds of rice in Bangladesh. Aus, Aman, Boro, and Irri. Aus And Aman are the main kinds of rice. Aman is the best of all. Aus is coarse, Aman is fine. There are two kinds of rice. One is Ataf and another is boiled rice. Non-boiled rice is ataf rice.
The Aus is sown in April and May and reaped in August. The Aman is sown in June and reaped in December. Boro and Irri are sown in winter and reaped in the spring.
At first, the farmer ploughs the land. Then paddy seeds are sown and ripen after a few months. Then the paddy plants are reaped and the paddy is separated from the straw.
Rice is the staple food of many countries of the world. We get Muri, Chira, and Khai from it. Cakes are made of rice. We use husk as fuel. Rice is a very useful thing. It is most essential for us. We should try to increase the production of rice in our country and be self-sufficient in our food grain production.
