Man hankers after wealth. To acquire
wealth he often fails to take proper care of his health. We never perceive that
our health is our richest wealth. A healthy man or woman can enjoy life
perfectly. He or she never goes under any obligation. But an unhealthy person
often goes under many obligations. We know that health is the root of all
happiness. If we want to be happy we have to be healthy. Without being healthy
we cannot be happy. An unhealthy man may be rich but cannot enjoy his life. He
cannot eat everything that he likes, he cannot go everywhere he wants to, and
he cannot even sleep peacefully at night. On the other hand, a poor healthy man
can enjoy life quite well. As we find health the richest wealth we should take
proper care of it.

প্রায়ই তা অর্জন করতে গিয়ে শরীরের প্রতি যত্নবান হতে ব্যর্থ হয়। আমরা কখনই উপলব্ধি
করি না যে স্বাস্থ্য আমাদের সবচেয়ে বড়ো সম্পদ। স্বাস্থ্যবান নারী বা পুরুষই ভালোভাবে
জীবন উপভোগ করতে পারে। সে কখনও অসুখী হয় না। কিন্তু স্বাস্থ্যহীন ব্যক্তিকে অনেক কষ্ট
করতে হয়। আমরা জানি যে স্বাস্থ্যই সকল সুখের মূল। সুখী হতে চাইলে স্বাস্থ্যবান হতে
হবে। স্বাস্থ্য ব্যতীত আমরা সুখি হতে পারি না। স্বাস্থ্যহীন ব্যক্তি ধনী হতে পারে কিন্তু
সুখী হতে পারে না। জীবনকেও সে ভোগ করতে পারে না। ইচ্ছেমতো খেতে, বেড়াতে এমনকি রাতে
ঘুমাতেও পারে না। পক্ষান্তরে স্বাস্থ্যবান দরিদ্র ব্যক্তিও সুখে জীবন কাটাতে পারে।
যেহেতু স্বাস্থ্যই পরম সম্পদ তাই এর প্রতি আমাদের যত্নবান হওয়া উচিত।
