Freedom is man’s birthright. Every man desires to have a right to move freely from his childhood. But he cannot do
whatever he likes. If everybody does what he likes, there will be disorder and
chaos in society. So some social rules and discipline are essential for
happiness and progress. The value of discipline is obvious in every walk of
life. It implies that every citizen should do his utmost to perform his duties
and bear his responsibilities. He must respect law and order. He must show loyalty. Obedience, tolerance, and perseverance. If people are not vigilant about what is required of them, they cannot perform
their duties with care, caution, and perseverance. As a result, discontent and
disorder will rise in the country. If a man kills anyone violating the social
rule, he will be accused as a criminal and he must suffer punishment according
to the law of the state.

জীবনের প্রত্যেক ক্ষেত্রে শৃঙ্খলার মূল্য স্পষ্ট। এটি নির্দেশ করে যে, প্রত্যেক নাগরিককে
তার দায়িত্ব ও কর্তব্য পালন করার জন্য সর্বোচ্চ চেষ্টা করা উচিত। তাকে অবশ্যই আইন-
শৃঙ্খলার প্রতি শ্রদ্ধাশীল হতে হবে। তাকে আনুগত্য, বিনয়, ধৈর্য ও অধ্যবসায় প্রদর্শন
করতে হবে। লোকেরা তাদের নিকট থেকে যা যা প্রয়োজন সেসব ব্যাপারে সতর্ক না থাকলে তারা
তাদের দায়িত্ব-কর্তব্যসমূহ যত্ন, সতর্কতা ও অধ্যবসায় সহকারে সম্পাদন করতে পারবে না।
ফলে দেশে অসন্তোষ ও বিশৃঙ্খলা সৃষ্টি হবে। একজন মানুষ সামাজিক নিয়ম ভঙ্গ করে কাউকে
হত্যা করলে সে একজন অপরাধী হিসাবে অভিযুক্ত হবে এবং সে অবশ্যই রাষ্ট্রের আইনানুসারে
শাস্তি ভোগ করবে।
