Man is always engaged in the pursuit of
wealth. It seems that if he can have enough money, he will have material
comforts, and these will make him happy. It is true that there is no limitation
to man’s desire. If we go on satisfying our wants, we shall find that
satisfaction does not bring contentment, it only creates new and ever-new
needs. From bullock carts, we came to carriages, from carriages to trains, and
from trains to motor cars, airplanes. Still, the hunger for more and more
comfort is not satisfied. This is true of every other amenity of life. First, we
satisfy our needs, and then we want comforts and then luxury amenities. The body needs
food but the mind needs contentment that is connected with hunger or love for
pleasure. But more wish or desire does not constitute ambition. When a man
seeks self-enrichment in the shape of wealth, power, fame, and authority, it is
the worst or the lowest sort of desire. We must weed out such desires from the
mind to achieve purity of mind.

নিচু ধরনের কামনা। মনের পবিত্রতা অর্জন করার জন্য আমরা অবশ্যই মন থেকে ঐসব কামনা-বাসনা
দূর করব।
