There is no rose without a thorn (কলঙ্কশূন্য চন্দ্র দেখা যায় না)
The rose is called the queen of
flowers. It attracts everybody by its beautiful colour and sweet fragrance. But
it has a thorny stalk. It prices the hand that tries to pick it. Similarly, every
valuable thing worthy of its name has hardships and troubles connected with it.
Nobody can achieve it without suffering hardships. Man has to try hard and
suffer hardship in order to gain something valuable and beautiful just the
same way the plucker of the beautiful rose has to suffer the pangs given by the
prick of the thorn.

এটি প্রত্যেককে এর সুন্দর রং ও সুমিষ্ট গন্ধ দ্বারা আকৃষ্ট করে থাকে। কিন্তু এর একটি
কাঁটাযুক্ত বৃন্ত রয়েছে। যে হাত এটিকে তুলতে চেষ্টা করে সেটিকে এটি কাঁটাবিদ্ধ করে।
একইভাবে সুনামের যোগ্য প্রত্যেক মূল্যবান জিনিসের সাথে কষ্ট ও সমস্যা যুক্ত রয়েছে।
কষ্ট ভোগ করা ব্যতীত কেউ এটি অর্জন করতে পারে না। মূল্যবান ও সুন্দর কিছু অর্জন করতে
হলে মানুষকে কঠোরভাবে চেষ্টা করতে হয় এবং কষ্ট ভোগ করতে হয়; ঠিক যেমনিভাবে সুন্দর গোলাপ
ফুল সংগ্রহকারীকে কাঁটার যন্ত্রণা সহ্য করতে হয়।
