This statement at a time expresses the
taste of patience and its outcome. Patience means the ability to wait without
any anxiety. Among the good virtues of man, patience is one. In our society, there are some people who are very impatient and for them, the above statement
is a good teaching. The success of a man depends on patience. The people who are
very impatient cannot prosper in life. Because they often start work very
eagerly and may leave it in the middle of the work. To do any work we have to
be steady and then continue the work patiently until we reach our goal. In most religions, emphasis has been given to patience. In the Holy Quran, we find
“Surely Allah likes the patient”. The people who work patiently get their
reward at the end. But most of us are unwilling to wait longer. Everybody wants
to enjoy the fruit as fast as they can. In this context, we can say if a student
studies regularly with patience he can make a good result in the examination.
But if he does otherwise he cannot make a good result. Though patience rewards us,
it is very difficult to keep patient. Our mind is very agile and we can hardly
control it. That is why waiting for anything for longer seems to us very
painful. Thus the statement is really true from a practical point of view.

স্বাদ ও ফলাফল প্রকাশ করে। ধৈর্য হলো উদ্বেগহীন অপেক্ষা করার ক্ষমতা। মানুষের ভালো
গুণাবলির মধ্যে ধৈর্য একটি। আমাদের সমাজে এমন কিছু লোক আছে যারা অধৈর্যশীল এবং তাদের
জন্য উপরের প্রবাদটি একটি ভালো শিক্ষা। মানুষের সাফল্য ধৈর্যের উপর নির্ভরশীল। যারা
খুব অধৈর্যশীল তারা জীবনে উন্নতি করতে পারে না। কারণ, তারা প্রায়ই খুব আগ্রহ নিয়ে একটি
কাজ শুরু করে এবং কাজের মাঝে এসে তা পরিহার করে। কোনো কাজ করতে আমাদের দৃঢ় প্রতিজ্ঞ
হতে হবে এবং আমাদের গন্তব্যে না পৌছা পর্যন্ত ধৈর্যধারণপূর্বক কাজ করে যেতে হবে। বেশিরভাগ
ধর্মেই ধৈর্যধারণের উপর গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হয়েছে। পবিত্র কোরআনে আমরা পাই – “অবশ্যই অল্লাহ
ধৈর্যশীলদের পছন্দ করেন”। যে লোক ধৈর্যধারণপূর্বক কাজ করে সে অবশেষে তার পুরস্কার পায়।
কিন্তু আমাদের বেশির ভাগই অধিক সময় অপেক্ষা করতে নারাজ। প্রত্যেকে যত দ্রুত সম্ভব ফল
ভোগ করতে চায়। এই প্রসঙ্গে আমরা বলতে পারি, কোনো ছাত্র যদি ধৈর্যধারণপূর্বক নিয়মিত
লেখাপড়া করে তবে সে পরীক্ষায় ভালো ফলাফল করে। কিন্তু অন্যাথায় সে ভালো ফলাফল করতে পারে
না। যদিও ধৈর্য আমাদের পুরস্কৃত করে কিন্তু, ধৈর্যধারণ করা খুব কঠিন। আমাদের মন খুব
চঞ্চল এবং আমাদের কদাচিৎ একে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে পারি। তাই কোনো কিছুর জন্য অধিকক্ষণ অপেক্ষা
আমাদের পীড়া দেয়। তাই উপর্যুক্ত প্রবাদটি ব্যবহারিক দৃষ্টিকোণ হতে সম্পূর্ণ সত্য।
