brings happiness and sometimes misfortune. The above statement expresses the
consequence of power without love. We often say he, who loves has the right to
punish. If a loving man gets the power he cannot be cruel in applying his power to
the people. He thinks of the welfare of the people. In that case, the power
comes down as a blessing to the people. But when power gets to a person who is
not loving towards the people, can apply it very cruelly and do any inhuman act.
He can be so cruel as to kill the people to preserve his power. We can observe
how inhumanity power can be applied if there is no love when we turn our eyes
to some autocratic countries. An autocrat generally does not have any love for
his people and that is why he can kill hundreds of his people to stand his
power. In this context, we can say even, if we have any love for an animal we
cannot punish it severely for any loss but if it is made by another animal
that we don’t love, we can be very cruel to it. Thus we realize that power
without love is really dreadful.

নিকট অর্পিত হয়, সে একে নির্দয়ভাবে ব্যবহার করে এবং যে কোনো অমানবিক কাজ করতে পারে।
সে তার ক্ষমতা টিকিয়ে রাখার জন্য এতটা নির্দয় হতে পারে যে, নিজের লোকদেরও হত্যা করতে
পারে। ক্ষমতা যে কতটা নির্দয়ভাবে ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে তার প্রমাণ আমরা পাই কিছু একনায়কতান্ত্রিক
দেশের দিকে তাকালে। একজন একনায়কের সাধারণত জনগণের প্রতি কোনো মায়া থাকে না এবং তাই
সে তার ক্ষমতা টিকিয়ে রাখার জন্য শত শত লোক হত্যা করতে পারে। এ প্রসঙ্গে আমরা বলতে
পারি, যে পশুটিকে আমরা ভালোবাসি তার দ্বারা কোনো অনিষ্ট হলে আমরা তাকে নির্দয়ভাবে শাস্তি
দিতে পারি না, কিন্তু এই অনিষ্ট অন্য কোনো প্রাণীর দ্বারা হলে , যাকে আমরা ভালোবাসি
না, তার প্রতি আমরা নির্দয় হতে কুন্ঠবোধ করি না। এভাবে আমরা অনুধাবন করতে পারি যে,
ভালোবাসাহীন ক্ষমতা সত্যিই বিপদজনক।
