Introduction: The name of our village is Shekhertek. It is in the district of Jessore. It is a big village.

ভূমিকাঃ আমাদের গ্রামের নাম শেখেরটেক। এটি যশোর জেলায় অবস্থিত। এটি একটি বড় গ্রাম।

Location: The village stands on the Kapotaksha. It is two miles long and one mile wide.

অবস্থানঃ গ্রামটি কপোতাক্ষ নদীর তীরে অবস্থিত। এটি দুই মাইল দীর্ঘ ও এক মাইল প্রশস্ত।

Population: About five thousand people live in this village. Most of them are Muslims, and only a few Hindus live here. Some of them are businessmen, and teachers and the rest are farmers.

জনসংখ্যাঃ এই গ্রামে প্রায় পাঁচ হাজার লোকের বাস। তাদের অধিকাংশই মুসলিম, শুধু অল্প কিছু হিন্দু এখানে বাস। তাদের কেউ ব্যবসায়ী, শিক্ষক, আর বাকিরা কৃষক।

Importance: There is a high school, two govt. primary schools, a post office, a madrasah, a bank, and a hospital in it. There is also a big market in the middle. It sits twice a week. We live peacefully there.

গুরুত্বঃ এখানে একটি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়, দুটি সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়, একটি ডাকঘর, একটি মাদ্রাসা, একটি ব্যাংক ও একটি হাসপাতাল আছে। এর মাঝখানে একটি বড় বাজারও আছে। এটি সপ্তাহে দু’বার বসে। আমরা সেখানে শান্তিতে বাস করি।

Crops and fruits: Our village grows a lot of rice, jute, and vegetables. There are also many fruit gardens in it.

ফসল ও ফলঃ আমাদের গ্রামে প্রচুর ধান ও পাট ও শাকসবজি জন্মে। এখানে অনেক ফলের বাগানও আছে।

Conclusion: Our village is an ideal village. We are proud of our village.
