Description: Newspaper was first published in Venice in Europe. But some are of opinion that China was the first country to publish the newspaper. The first newspaper in Bengali was the Samachar Darpan. At first, newspapers are written with hand. With the invention of the printing press, its publication has been easy.
Kinds of the newspaper: Newspapers are of many kinds such as daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly etc. The dailies present us various kinds of news commentaries, articles poems etc.
Uses: Newspaper is a storehouse of knowledge. It has made the world a house. Now we know everything about every country, every nation, and every affair or subject, they wish to know even individually. It criticizes the government policy of all the countries, creates public opinion, educates the people of the world, rules the trades and commerce and develops the civilization. In short, modern people and organization cannot do without paper.
