Paragraph On Terrorism
Terrorism is the use of violence, or the threat of violence, to create a climate of fear among people. It is one of the greatest threats to human life in the modern world. Terrorist violence targets ethnic or religious groups, governments, political parties, corporations, and media enterprises. Among its causes are communal feelings, political and social injustice, racial jealousy, and unemployment among the youth. Organizations that engage in acts of terror are almost always small in size and limited in resources compared to the populations and institutions they oppose. Through publicity and fear generated by their violence, they seek to magnify their influence and power to effect political change on either a local or an international scale. Terrorism may be of various kinds. It may be state terrorism or terrorism by different political parties, organizations, groups, or individuals. It may be overt or covert. It is not an ideology or political agendum; it is a method or instrumentality. It is an unpardonable crime. It should be dealt with an iron hand. The killing of innocent men, women, and children cannot be condoned under any circumstances. So we should do all to curb terrorism and make this world a happier place and peaceful abode.
