Of the road problems in Bangladesh, the rickshaw problem is a major problem. Thousands of rickshaws cause the roadblock. There are many reasons for the roadblock by rickshaws. The population problem is the number one problem in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is a small country but she has to bear the pressure of too many people. The number of rickshaws is increasing day by day which causes road problems. The pullers are quite illiterate. They do not have any knowledge about traffic rules. Again they do not abide by the traffic rules. They park rickshaws anywhere they lie. They do not have any civic sense.
Myself: What is one of the major causes of roadblocks?
Habib: Thousands of rickshaws cause roadblocks.
Myself: What are the reasons for roadblocks by rickshaws?
Habib: Many poor people from rural areas come to the city in search of a living. When they do not get any work. They pull rickshaws to earn their livelihood.
Myself: Is this the only reason?
Habib: Of course not. Most of the rickshaw pullers are illiterate. They do not have any knowledge about traffic rules?
Myself: Can’t you tell me any more reason?
Habib: They do not abide by the traffic rules. They park rickshaws anywhere they like.
