The Cow Essay / Composition
The cow is the most useful of all domestic animals. She plays an important part in our daily life. The cow has four legs, two eyes, two ears, two horns and a long tail. Her tail has a tuft of hair. Her body is covered with soft and short hair. Her hoofs are divided in the middle. She has only one set of teeth in the lower jaw. Cows are of various sizes and colours. Some cows are large, some are small, some are black, some are white, some are red and some are mixed colours.
The cow is found almost all over the world. Wild cows are found in jungles. The cow lives mainly on grass. She also eats oil cakes straw, vegetables, bran and leaves. The cow is a very useful animal. She gives us milk. Her milk is sweet and nutritious. Butter, ghee, curd, cream and many other sweets are made of milk. The ox and bullock are drawn cart and plough. Shoes and bags are made of her skin. Combs and buttons are made of her horns. Cowdung is good manure. Some people eat beef.
The cow is a gentle animal. She gives birth to one calf at a time. She loves her calf very much. She does not do any harm to us.
The cow is very useful to us in many ways. So we should take good care of it.
