Short Composition Flood in Bangladesh
Every year flood occurs in Bangladesh. Regular flood does little harm. But sometimes it becomes harmful a dangerous.
Bangladesh is a country of low land. It is a country of rivers. In the rainy seasons, the rivers become full to the brim. When these rivers overflow their banks flood takes place. Excessive rainfall causes flood. In the rainy season, there is excessive rainfall. Water overflows the river banks. It goes everywhere and overflows roads, highways houses, and fields. Sometimes rainwater comes to our country through the river from other countries.
Flood brings great misery to people. It destroys houses, crops, and livestock. Normal flood does not harm much. Generally, it takes place during other seasons and becomes more devastating. So, it should be checked.
Man can not prevent natural calamity. We can only try to minimize its devastation silted rivers and canals should be dredged. Embankment should be made along the river bank.
Flood brings suffering to mankind. It destroys our pet animals, our houses, and our crops. After the flood, people suffer from various diseases caused by water pollution. So, the flood comes as a curse to the people. Flood also has some good sides. It fertilizes our land but sometimes it becomes a calamity. We should try to prevent it.
