social point of view. It we turn our eyes to our surroundings we can perceive
the truth of this proverb. In the long past human being had to fight with many
natural disasters and monstrous creatures to survive themselves. The physically
mighty creatures at that time made the earth their kingdom. But human beings
who are mightier in intelligence than the monsters defeated them in the course
of time and snatched control of the earth. Now we see the practice of might
in our society which is very heart rendering. The mighty men of the society are
oppressing the weak and the poor for their self-interest. In the long past
human beings were oppressed physically by the monsters but now the rich
politically and administratively mighty people are oppressing the poor and the
weak not only physically but also mentally. The poor and the weak are being
deprived of their rights. All the things in society are done according to the
will of the mighty and the rich. The truth of this proverb is not only seen in
our social life but also in our national and international life. The countries
that are most developed are controlling the less developed countries. The
people of the less developed countries are treated as beggars by the people of the
most developed countries. Thus we see the influence of the mighty everywhere. The practice of might by the mighty is depriving others of their
real rights. So we should try to stop the practice of might to build a happy
country as well as a happy world.

হতে প্রবাদটি সত্য। আমরা আমাদের চারদিকে দৃষ্টিপাত করলেই এই প্রবাদের সত্যতা অনুধাবন
করতে পারি। সুদূর অতীতে মানুষকে নানা প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগ এবং মারাত্মক জন্তুদানবের সাথে
যুদ্ধ করে টিকে থাকতে হয়েছে। শারীরিকভাবে শক্তিশালী জন্তুদানব তখন পৃথিবীকে তাদের রাজ্যে
পরিণত করেছিল। কিন্তু বুদ্ধিতে অধিকতর শক্তিশালী মানুষ কালক্রমে এ জন্তুদানবদের পরাজিত
করে এ পৃথিবীর কর্তৃত্ব ছিনিয়ে নিয়েছে। এখন আমরা আমাদের সমাজে এই জোরের প্রাভব দেখতে
পাই যা খুবই হৃদয়বিদারক। সমাজের প্রতিপত্তিশালী লোকেরা গরিব ও দুর্বলদের শোষণ করছে
তাদের স্বীয় স্বার্থের জন্য। সুদূর অতীতে মানবকুল জন্তুদানবের দ্বারা শুধু শারীরিকভাবে
অত্যাচারিত হতো। কিন্তু বর্তমানে ধনী এবং রাজনৈতিক ও প্রশাসনিকভাবে শক্তিশালী লোকেরা
দুর্বল ও দরিদ্রদের শুধু শারীরিকভাবে নয় মানসিকভাবেও অত্যাচার করছে। দরিদ্র এবং দুর্বেলরা
তাদের অধিকার থেকে বঞ্চিত হচ্ছে। ধনী ও প্রতিপত্তিশালীদের ইচ্ছানুযায়ীই সমাজের সবকিছু
হচ্ছে। এই প্রবাদের সত্যাতা শুধু আমাদের সামাজিক জীবনেই পরিলক্ষিত হয় না, জাতীয় ও আন্তর্জাতিক
জীবনেও পরিলক্ষিত হয়। অধিকতর উন্নত দেশগুলো স্বল্পোন্নত দেশগুলোকে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করছে।
স্বল্পোন্নত দেশের জনগণকে অধিকতর উন্নত দেশের জনগণ ভিক্ষুক মনে করে। এভাবে আমরা সবখানেই
প্রতিপত্তির প্রভাব দেখতে পাই। প্রতিপত্তিসম্পন্ন কারো শক্তির ব্যবহার অন্যদেরকে ন্যায্য
অধিকার হতে বঞ্চিত করছে। কাজেই সুখী দেশ ও সুখী পৃথিবী গড়ার লক্ষ্যে আমাদের প্রতিপত্তির
ব্যবহার বন্ধের জন্য চেষ্টা করতে হবে।
