Cut Your Coat According to Your Cloth: This proverb is absolutely true in our
family life and social life. Money is essential in our life. So we should spend
this money according to our needs. Nobody likes a squanderer. There are many
examples of a spendthrift in every holy book. Islam states that a man who spends
more than necessary is not liked by Allah. There are many people who had much
money but because of their waste of money, they became beggars at last. But
frugality is a habit opposite to dissipation. Everyone should follow frugality
to make a well-planned family. Frugal men save one or two paisa and easily buy
their expected things. But the life of the luxurious and extravagant man is not
happy. We should form the habit of being economical but not miserly. The men
who spend according to their means can prosper in their life and they have a
bright future. They are really happy.
বাংলা অনুবাদঃ এই প্রবাদটি আমাদের পারিবারিক
ও সামজিক জীবনে সম্পূর্ণভাবে সত্য। আমাদের জীবনে অর্থ অপরিহার্য। তাই আমাদের প্রয়োজন
অনুযায়ী এই অর্থ ব্যয় করা উচিত। কেউই অপব্যয়কারীকে পছন্দ করে না। প্রতিটি পবিত্র গ্রন্থে
অপব্যয়ীর অনেক উদাহরণ রয়েছে। ইসলাম বলে যে, যারা প্রয়োজনের তুলনায় অধিক ব্যয় করে, তাদেরকে
আল্লাহ পছন্দ করেন না। অনেক মানুষ রয়েছে যাদের অনেক টাকা ছিল কিন্তু তাদের অর্থ অপচয়ের
কারণে অবশেষে তারা ভিক্ষুকে পরিণত হয়েছে। অপচয়ের বিপরীতে মিতব্যয়িতা হলো একটি অভ্যাস।
একটি সুপরিকল্পিত পরিবার গঠন করতে সবাইকে মিতব্যয়িতা অনুসরণ করা উচিত। মিতব্যয়ী ব্যক্তিরা
একটী-দুইটি করে পয়সা সঞ্চয় করে এবং সহজেই তাদের প্রত্যাশিত জিনিস ক্রয় করে। কিন্তু
বিলাসী ও অমিতব্যয়ী ব্যক্তির জীবন সুখী নয়। আমাদের মিতব্যয়ের অভ্যাস গড়ে তোলা উচিত
কিন্তু কার্পণ্যের নয়। যে সব মানুষ তাদের উপার্জন অনুযায়ী ব্যয় করে, তারা তাদের জীবনে
উন্নতি করতে পারে এবং তাদের একটি উজ্জ্বল ভবিষ্যৎ থাকে। তারা প্রকৃতপক্ষে সুখী হয়।
